McLAREN Racing Accelerator partners with Ministry of Defence
Driving innovation and high performance
McLaren Racing Accelerator has partnered with the Ministry of Defence to provide expertise gained from years in elite-level motorsport.
Under the multi-year partnership, the Ministry of Defence, through its Defence Equipment and Support Future Capability Group, will collaborate with McLaren’s Accelerator arm to apply motorsport innovation, insights and a high-performance mindset to a number of projects within the MoD. Opportunities include the electrification of MoD vehicles, driving product development speed, improving operational efficiency as well as using digital tools for data-driven decision-making.
Other elements that will be explored through the partnership include developing high technology engineering excellence which could help the MOD attract, develop and support even more diverse talent into STEM careers within Defence.
In addition, Ministry of Defence branding will be carried on the chassis tub side and rear mudflaps of the NEOM McLaren Extreme E race cars, demonstrating McLaren Racing’s work with MoD on electrification of vehicles.
McLaren Accelerator applies McLaren Racing’s expertise, processes and culture from elite motorsport to its partners’ business challenges, using new business technologies and proof of concept to support their strategic goals which often include growth, revenue generation, innovation, product development, cost saving and operational improvements.
