GRÉGOIRE SAUCY

Driver, McLaren Driver Development

Grégoire Saucy joined the McLaren Driver Development Programme in February 2026, two years after making a successful switch from single-seaters to sports cars with United Autosports.

Showing promise from an early age, Swiss-born Grégoire obtained his competition license at just seven years old, making him the youngest licensee in Switzerland at the time. He became a regular podium finisher across various Swiss karting Championships before stepping up to single-seaters in 2015, competing in the V de V Challenge Monoplace.

He gained further experience in the Italian and ADAC Formula 4 Championships, the Toyota Racing Series, and the Formula Renault Eurocup, where he established a successful partnership with ART Grand Prix. It was with the French outfit that he won the Formula Regional European Championship title in 2021, finishing first with eight wins, eight Poles and 10 podiums.

Two seasons in Formula 3 followed, where he notched three podiums with ART Grand Prix, before transitioning to Endurance Racing, competing for United Autosports in the 2024 World Endurance Championship in the LMGT3 category. He continued with the team for 2025, taking his first podium in the season opener in Qatar, alongside a drive in the European Le Mans Series, in the LMP2 category.

For 2026, Grégoire joins the McLaren Driver Development Programme, which has an overarching aim of helping drivers progress towards Formula 1, IndyCar, and the team’s upcoming World Endurance Championship entry. He is currently competing in the LMP2 category of the IMSA SportsCar Championship with United Autosports.
