Jake

“I can’t wait to get going again after a break since our last race in Diriyah. We went into this break with a decent run of results and form. I’m really looking forward to returning to São Paulo with the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, I enjoyed racing there last year and I hope we can put on a show for the Brazilian fans. We’re expecting a bit of different racing compared to Diriyah, so I hope we can be competitive and fight near the front of the grid again.”

Sam Bird

“I’m very excited to get going in São Paulo with the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, it feels like we have had quite a long break since our last time out in Diriyah. This is the second time we’ll be visiting Brazil and I had a good race there last year, so I am hoping I can replicate this with the team. I can’t wait!”

Ian James

“After a longer-than-usual break in the Formula E calendar, we resume racing this weekend, in São Paulo. It will be the series’ second ever visit to the city and promises to be an exciting weekend. Last year’s event was a great introduction of Formula E to São Paulo – the crowd was all we could have hoped for, and the backdrop is a fantastic addition to the calendar.

"We’re looking forward to continuing the momentum we’ve built up since the start of the season. The performance so far has shown that we have been able to address some of last season’s weaker points. However, this track will prove to be a different challenge with a greater energy sensitivity. It will also test the traction performance of our package – which is still an area we need to improve. Despite this, we feel positive that our preparation has put us in a good position to optimise the package that we have and we’re excited to get back on the racetrack!

"I can’t wait to continue our Season 10 journey this weekend.”

Diriyah

Jake and Sam each had a fourth place finish in the two races during Round 3 in Diriyah

Last time out

We enjoyed a positive previous round in Diriyah, with Jake and Sam both notching their highest finishes for the team to date.

Showcasing his speed and overtaking prowess, Sam fought from ninth to fourth on Saturday in Round 2, before unfortunately retiring from Round 3 on Sunday. On the other side of the garage, Jake was unable to crack the points on Saturday, finishing 11th, but finished a brilliant fourth on the Sunday to match Sam’s result, executing a clever Attack Mode strategy to climb up from sixth.
