Formula E launch new ‘Evo Sessions’ event

11 famous faces will take to the track in contemporary Formula E cars at the Miami International Autodrome in March

Formula E have announced that they’ll be running a first-of-its-kind event in Miami this March that will see stars from the worlds of sport, tech and entertainment in the cockpit of a current GEN3 Evo car.

The unique experience will be known as ‘Formula E Evo Sessions’ and will see 11 drivers take to the track on 5-6 March at the Miami International Autodrome, one of whom will be behind the wheel of our NEOM McLaren Formula E Team GEN3 Evo car.

Eleven well-known personalities from actors to athletes and content creators will be paired with a Formula E team and driver and put through a testing programme. This will consist of simulator sessions, driver coaching, hardware customisation and engineering briefings.

These sessions will not only prepare the 11 drivers for the experience but also provide an in-depth insight into what it takes to prepare, train, and drive like a professional racing driver.

Once their training is complete, at the two-day event, they’ll take to the track on an altered version of the Miami International Autodrome for a series of familiarisation laps before experiencing the full power of the GEN3 Evo car.

The NEOM McLaren Formula E Team’s guest driver will be announced in due course. Their journey from simulator to cockpit will be documented along the way via our social media channels, as well as Formula E’s official accounts and their own platforms. An official Formula E feature-length documentary will then take fans further behind the scenes later in 2025.
