A dose of comic relief after the Bahrain Grand Prix

It’s not often we have to wait three weeks for the second grand prix of the season. In fact, the last time there was a gap this long between the opening two rounds of a Formula 1 campaign was in 2007. Well aware you might be in need of a pick-me-up, as your buzz from the Bahrain Grand Prix starts to fade and you come crashing down from the sugar-induced high that comes from eating copious amounts of chocolate over Easter, we’ve got just the thing.

That’s right, sit back, relax and enjoy some laughs with the latest instalment of ‘Caption This’.

So… Max and George for 2022. Right, Toto?

Reach for the stars Daniel…

Climb every mountain higher
Reach for the stars
Follow your heart’s desire
Reach for the stars
And when that rainbow’s shining over you
That’s when your dreams will all come true.

James Key or Fernando Alonso?

…Tom and Daniel turned to the TV feed to try to work this out without arousing suspicion, but their findings were inconclusive…

Image

Zak: “Lando, we’ve got a situation. None of us can work out whether that’s James or Fernando on the pit wall, but Daniel tells me you’ve bravely volunteered to go over there and find out.”

Lando: “Have I?”

Zak: “You have now.”

After a few nervous minutes for everyone in the garage, Lando returned…

“Yeah, it’s James. Either that or Fernando has read a lot of books about aerodynamics while he’s been away from F1.”

Oh, can you do the can-can?
If you can then I can
I can can-can if you can-can
Can you can-can?

Pleased with our strong start to the season, Andreas went full Rihanna – fishnet tights and everything – when treating the team to a rendition of ‘Umbrella’.

The performance was…

eye opening to say the least.

Imagine Tom Holland’s famous Lip Sync Battle performance from several years ago but with a lot less water. Well, we were in Bahrain after all.

Tom, Daniel and Adrian couldn’t quite believe what they had seen.

Neither could Jon.

But Andreas felt it went well.
