Prepare to race the McLaren of your dreams
Take a few racing laps in the most successful Formula 1 car ever - Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost's McLaren MP4/4 of 1988 - then perhaps a couple in James Hunt's 1976 McLaren M23, and finish off with some sharp cornering and hard driving in the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4/26 of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. Or perhaps you'd prefer to burn up the track in a McLaren F1 and then see how it compares to the new MP4/12C road car?
You'll be able to do all that and a whole lot more soon with the launch
of new online driving game Simraceway.com. For the first time ever the entire catalogue of stunningly realized virtual models of 60 McLaren road and race cars will be licensed to the new game, made by Ignite Game Technologies.
Players will eventually have access to the complete set of McLaren's historic collection, including not just all 36 F1 cars, but also the road cars, sports cars like the M6GT (pictured) and the Can-Am monsters driven to glory by Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme in the 1960s.
The game will enable players to race live over the internet in a huge
variety of cars and on street, fantasy and real-world tracks, many of
which will be laser scanned for millimetre accuracy.
