
Brian Barnhart
General Manager, Arrow McLaren
Brian Barnhart joined Arrow McLaren in October 2022 as General Manager for the team and car communicator for Alexander Rossi and the No. 7 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet. His career spans 40 years and includes two Indianapolis 500 victories with Al Unser Jr. for Galles Racing (1992) and Team Penske (1994) as a mechanic and tire changer.
Following Unser’s 1994 Indy 500 victory, Brian made a career shift to work as Track Superintendent at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for three years. In 1997, he joined NTT INDYCAR SERIES as Race Director. He would lead the series in this role for 14 years, and he worked for the series for a total 20 years in various capacities including President of Operations and Strategy, Vice Pesident of Competition and Race Steward.
He returned to the team side in 2017, joining Harding Steinbrenner as Team President. He stayed on with the team through its merger with Andretti Autosport where he was most recently Race Strategist for Alexander Rossi.
