The morning started well for Arrow McLaren as Nolan Siegel led Practice 2, the first time in his career that he's finished first in an NTT INDYCAR SERIES session. 

All three cars qualified out of Round 1 later in the morning, but Christian's incident in Turn 9 during Round 2 of Qualifying cut the session short. Pato and Nolan had yet to turn in their push laps and fell short of advancing to the Firestone Fast 6.

Tomorrow, the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team will be on track for Warm-Up at 9:02 a.m. PT before the 65-lap race on FOX at 1:30 p.m. PT.

"I'm bummed out about it. I think we had enough to transfer or at least a shot to get in the Firestone Fast 6. I'm glad Christian's alright. A bummer for me and for Nolan. He didn't get his lap in either. We all had the pace to be in there, so it's sad to see there's only one Chevy in the Firestone Fast 6. We can fight from ninth even though this track is really sensitive to track position. We're no strangers, though, from starting not in the front row in Long Beach. This hasn't necessarily been our best track in the past, so we'll see what we can come up with. It's five laps longer than last year. I'd say it should have been 10 laps longer because a two-stopper is still very much in play. I think that's what you'll see the leaders do, and we'll see what we come up with."

"We only did a run on the used Firestone Primary tires before we put a new set of Firestone Alternate tires on. We made some changes from Round 1 of Qualifying, did half a lap and was really happy, but unfortunately we weren't able to finish it. We have good pace, it's just frustrating to not get to show that. I think we probably could have transferred, and while it would've been nice to do that, we have another day tomorrow."

"We changed our strategy a little bit from Round 1 of Qualifying to do two push laps in a row in the second round. I asked if we were clear after the first push lap and we weren't, so we had to use that second lap because I wanted to save our other set of tires for the Firestone Fast 6. I pushed too hard and went into Turn 9. I feel bad for Pato and Nolan, I knew that they were trying to advance and that we had the pace. It sucks."
