Arrow McLAREN 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Qualifying Report

"We did a good job ... and put ourselves in a good spot for the race tomorrow"

Few tracks on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule highlight the tight margins of this series more than the streets of Detroit, and today's Qualifying session was no exception. Christian Lundgaard was able to navigate his way through the tight field in Qualifying, advancing to his third Firestone Fast 6 of the season. He'll lead the way for the Arrow McLaren cars for the 100-lap race as he'll start in fourth.

Pato O'Ward was not able to advance out of the first round and will start 18th, while Nolan Siegel will start 27th after suffering a spark plug issue at the beginning of the session.

Arrow McLaren  will be on track Sunday for Warm-Up at 9:02 a.m. ET before the 100-lap race on FOX at 12:30 p.m. CT.

"We had a pretty good Qualifying. Leaving Practice 1 yesterday and going into Practice 2 today in much colder conditions, we knew which direction to go and made the car better into Qualifying. We knew the Andretti cars would be strong in the street course, and I think being one of the few cars fighting them, it's something we're happy with for now. I was happy with the balance, but we didn't save another set of Firestone Alternates for the Fast Six, like three other cars did. We did a good job; we followed track evolution and put ourselves in a good spot for the race tomorrow."

"Not much to say about Qualifying. We did an out lap, had a spark plug issue, came in and stopped for the rest of the session. I think the car would've been fast, but I have no way of knowing. We'll come back tomorrow and see what we have. It sucks because this is a race where Qualifying is so important, so we'll do what we can tomorrow."
