The Belgian Grand Prix according to social media
Given the events of last year's Belgian Grand Prix – or lack thereof - it was something of a pleasant surprise to see a 0% chance of rain ahead of this year's race start.
As well as the 44-beguiling dry laps of racing we experienced on Sunday, fans were also treated to the news that the fan-favourite Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps would remain a much-loved feature of the Formula 1 calendar in 2023.
Although the on-track action wasn't quite as positive, with the team enduring our first point-less race since the Canadian Grand Prix, you ensured there was still plenty to smile about with your presence at the track and on social media. Here's what you made of it all...
Nothing like National Dog Day to kick off a race weekend on the right note.
Can National Dog Day become a weekly celebration?

This made him the first F1 driver to win here twice. 🙌 pic.twitter.com/aQUk6jIOP5
Not quite the Spa we meant, but we can understand the mix-up...

@Nathanings wasn't the only one who felt the need to get away and relax during the Belgium GP weekend.

We like your style, @Abercrombie. 👊
That's quite the collection you’ve got there, @MewesKeith.
After more than three weeks without any racing action, we could barely contain our excitement when switching on the engines for free practice, and we weren't surprised to see that you felt the same.
Now there's an idea… We hereby enforce a 'blanket ban' on anyone else trying to create these.
Reuniting with your beautiful faces was the best thing about the return to racing.
Where do you keep your stroopwafels? In the cupboard, the fridge, or flying through the air?
Thank you, @f1mclarenfan, we could never get tired of hearing it.
Ooofff, now that is a tough choice… We'd not call ourselves fashion experts, @GChalkiadoudis, but it's hard to look past the grey Ayrton Senna tee in the middle.
Due to a team decision to use new power unit elements, Lando took a grid penalty on Sunday and began the race from the back of the grid.
Daniel missed out on Q3 by less than a tenth, but was promoted to a starting position of seventh with all of the grid penalties applied – Verstappen, Leclerc, Bottas, Ocon, Zhou, Schumacher and Tsunoda also all taking penalties.
We went for a stroll ahead of the race and it was fantastic to see so many of you kitted out in papaya at the circuit.
And what about those watching the action on a screen? Where were you tuning in from?
Very fitting, @jackbenrob – keep feeling inspired!
It wasn't to be in Belgium, as a tough day ended with Lando in 12th and Daniel 15th, but as always, your support never wavered. Thanks for always having our backs, team.
On course for the Dutch coastline, we hope?
Hopefully we'll see, @Laramaytaylor, and the rest of you in Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix in just a few days time for the second race of a European triple-header.
