“We’ve just finished the race here in Mexico City. After qualifying nineteenth, we managed to finish in the points, with a P10 and the fastest lap of the race, which was the goal going into the race. Obviously, I then received a post-race penalty which sadly pushed me out of the points, which is a shame because the team did a great job with the Safety Car at the end and with getting the final Attack Mode finished.
“I feel that I maximised this race, so I’m pretty happy with myself and proud of the job that the team have done.”

“Clearly a very disappointing weekend, and not what I wanted or expected when qualifying in tenth. Having said that, there are some positives to take away; the Nissan power unit looks to be strong, and I felt good in the car. We now have got some things to learn before Jeddah. It’s still very early days in the Championship and I’m looking forward to getting out to the Middle East to continue the quest for good results with the team.”

“It’s always such a pleasure to race here in Mexico City. The fans are unique; the passion and the understanding that they have for the sport is second to none. We also had phenomenal support from our partners here over the course of the weekend, so a huge thank you to all of them who attended.
“In terms of the race itself, and in fact over the entirety of today, after a very promising start in FP1 on Friday, we really struggled to capitalise on the pace that we inherently have. The weather overnight caught us out, and to be honest, we didn’t react in the right way to the changing track conditions, putting ourselves on the backfoot. This had a particular impact for Taylor, who went out in Group A. Despite being able to react in time for Sam, he was desperately unlucky in qualifying to get blocked, otherwise I think he would have easily made it through to the Duels and the race would have seen a very different outcome.
“The race itself was a very mixed bag and, ultimately, we’re coming away from Mexico City without any points. We have to take a hard look at how we avoid compromising our performance, and we need to ensure that both drivers are in a position to score strong points.
“Now we’re looking forward to heading out to Jeddah, one of the team’s home races and the first double-header of the season.”
