“What a week in Jeddah that was! Two podiums, a pole position and a good haul of points - absolutely nothing to complain about. This race presented a very different challenge to yesterday, so I’m happy I was able to finish P2.

“Thank you to the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team for their hard work. It’s clearly paying off with three podiums and a pole position in four races. I’m super happy. Hopefully we can continue this momentum in the next race in Miami.”

“I’m so proud of the whole team. Even though the race was difficult for me, I leave with a smile on my face because I can see the potential and I can see the pace in the car. It’s still very early days in the championship and I’m feeling good.

“Taylor was incredible this weekend. It’s a shame what happened to me in the race today and an even bigger shame what happened yesterday. I’m massively looking forward to the next one, and the opportunity for more points.”

Ian James

“That’s a wrap on our second home race here in Jeddah.

“Once again, Taylor’s performance was an absolute masterclass. Throughout each and every session today - from Free Practice, the Qualifying groups, the Qualifying duels and then for the race itself, he didn’t put a foot wrong.

“The P2 he achieved is thoroughly deserved. He's showing a very positive trend already, and I have no doubt that this performance is something he’s going to build on going forward.

“Obviously, it is disappointing that Sam’s race didn’t yield any points. After a strong start, a was caught up in an early melee which unfortunately set a pattern for his race.

“The team itself leaves Jeddah in P2 in the Team's Championship - which is as tight and competitive as it has ever been. Taylor finds himself in an impressive P2 in the Driver's Championship. In this early part of the season it’s still all to play for.

“A huge thank you to Nissan for delivering such a strong package that puts us right in the mix. Congratulations to both Oliver Rowland and Nissan Formula E Team for a very well deserved first place in today’s race, making for a 1-2 for Nissan-powered cars - and a commanding lead in the Manufacturer’s Championship.

“I'm now looking forward to Miami and building on that which we’ve already achieved.”
