“The whole team are excited” - Reaction from the team at F1®75 Live
Hear what Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Zak Brown and Andrea Stella had to say as we uncovered our 2025 F1 livery
The team were given a warm welcome at The O2 in London as we revealed the livery for our “innovative” new Championship challenger.
After a red-carpet arrival, Jack Whitehall invited Lando and Oscar - dressed in our all-new overalls for 2025 - onto the stage in front of a sold-out crowd at The O2 arena. They were joined by CEO Zak Brown and Team Principal Andrea Stella to unveil our 2025 livery, which is an evolution of our 2024 design.
In keeping with our tradition of carrying over livery concepts when winning a Championship, the 2025 design retains the same overall look and feel as its predecessor, which won our first Constructors’ title since 1998.
As reigning Constructors’ Champions, McLaren had the honour of going last at F1®75 Live. Martin Brundle joined us to look ahead to the 2025 F1 season, following performances from MGK and Kane Brown, and the other nine team reveals.

“It is great to see all of our fans here, celebrating 75 years of Formula 1,” said Zak Brown. “It is pretty awesome. We are ready. And I am ready to see Andrea get a tattoo this year.
“I would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight, Stefano and F1 for putting on this great event, and of course everyone at McLaren for building this beautiful car. And Martin, as we say, we Never Stop Racing, let’s go.”
Andrea Stella added: “The MCL39 is an innovative car from a technical point of view, but in terms of the livery, we wanted continuity with last year’s car, to honour our World Championship-winning car.”
The MCL39 made its on-track debut during a promotional filming day at Silverstone earlier in February, with Lando and Oscar behind the wheel for a short stint around the British-based circuit.
“It is still in one piece, that is the main thing,” joked Lando. “It was good to get in the car. A lot of work has been done on the car. Not everything you see on the outside has maybe changed that much but a lot on the inside [has]. I am excited, I can’t wait for Bahrain.”
Behind the curtain F1 on stage
We are one of just two teams to be heading into the new campaign with the same driver line-up from 2024 and confidence is high on the back of our most successful season since 1998.
Lando delivered a career-best F1 season as he finished second in the Drivers’ Championship, following eight Poles, four Grand Prix wins, and a further nine podiums.
“I am very excited,” Lando said. “Anything in front of the British fans is amazing, so it is a pleasure to be here tonight. We are all excited, the whole team are excited after last year. We want to start if off on the right foot. There has been a lot of work from the guys and girls back in the factory. Today, it starts.”
Oscar is set for his third year in F1, in which he will look to build on a hugely successful sophomore season. The Australian racer won twice and scored another six podiums, finishing fourth in the standings.

“I am super excited for what we’ve got in store,” Oscar said. “Last year was a great result for the whole team and for both of us as drivers, but we want to take that next step up and fight from the beginning. Thanks for coming out tonight, we hope you’ve enjoyed the show. I am super excited for the season to start.”
Lando and Oscar have less than a week to wait until they can get back behind the wheel of the MCL39 at the Bahrain International Circuit on 26-28 February. After three days of track time in the new car, we’ll then have two weeks to prepare for the season opener in Australia, 14-16 March.
