The next qualifying events for the World’s Fastest Gamer will be hosted by Founding Partner Logitech G, taking place in August before a thrilling live semi-final in September.
Qualification rounds will take place between August 25 - 28, following a time-trial format in a bid to discover the ultimate 'challenger'. The fastest person from each qualifying event will then be invited to compete at the Logitech G semi-finals at the IFA consumer electronics show, in Berlin, Germany.
The finalists will compete in a series of races on September 1 - 2, with semi-finals taking place on Sunday September 3.

The Insomnia 61 qualifier will coincide with the Belgian GP, with time-trials taking place around the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Each qualifier will be a time-trial, consisting of three laps of Spa. The players will have one practice lap and their times on two flying-laps will be recorded. The two fastest drivers over the weekend will then go head-to-head on August 28 to become the overall winner of the Insomnia 61 Qualifiers.
Online qualifying events
The online time-trials around Spa will feature elimination rounds, with the top drivers of each round progressing to the next stage, for three rounds. The fastest overall time will enter the Logitech G IFA Semi-Finals, Berlin.

On Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd September, Logitech G will be running a qualifying session as a wild card entry into the semi-finals. The online winner as well as the winners from DreamHack, Insomnia 61 and the IFA’s wild card winner will then compete at the IFA Semi-Finals on Sunday 3rd September.
The semi-final event will be staged as three races, with the grid positions for race one assigned on the day in a pre-race qualifying session. The order for race two and three will be taken from the previous race’s results.
Each event will be a 10-lap race, with points awarded 10 points (1st), 8 pts (2nd) 6 pts (3rd), 4 pts (4th), 2 pts (5th). The driver with the highest number of points at the end will be crowned the IFA’s eSport champion.
Their prize? A place in the grand finale, held at the McLaren Technology Centre in the autumn, and the chance to not only be officially crowned as the world’s fastest gamer but also become an official McLaren simulator driver for a year.
