They say time flies when you’re having fun. The same can be said of working at McLaren Applied Technologies. I joined the company just over a year ago, and the diverse range of projects I have worked on in such a unique and inspiring environment has helped accelerate my personal and professional development.
Based in the London office, as Technical Delivery Manager I have been responsible for developing world-class software solutions and products predominantly in the healthcare space, as well as leading product development lifecycles. In that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with a talented array of software engineers, data scientists, project managers, architects, and a host of professionals from various backgrounds – all committed to delivering the very best solutions.
Now, I’m about to embark on the next chapter of my career at the forefront of innovation with McLaren Applied Technologies. As Engineering Manager in the Decision Insight team, my role will be help foster a spirit of innovation and champion an agile approach to software development. I’ll build and lead efficient teams, empower them to make decisions and develop decision-support tools which deliver advantage to the company and its clients.
During my time at McLaren Applied Technologies, a significant amount of my focus has shifted from healthcare to the projects the Decision Insight team is working on as part of the McLaren Deloitte alliance. One of the main products is SupplyCycle – our supply chain optimisation engine that drives operational efficiencies in the manufacturing process across various companies and industries.
The Decision Insight team is focused on building tools, algorithmic models, and optimisation engines that enable professionals and companies within different industries to drive effective decision-making, as well as help them make the correct choices on a daily basis. The culture in the London office is collaborative, blameless and agile, and sees highly effective and efficient teams develop market-leading solutions in response complex challenges. Our adoption of an agile working methodology also means we embrace change and are quick to adapt to rapidly evolving market situations.
