Congratulations to the TechWorks Awards 2021 winners

We were delighted to sponsor the TechWorks Emerging Deep Tech Award at the gala dinner and awards ceremony held in London on 9 December 2021.

The event brings together executives and professionals from across the industry, offering the opportunity to network with industry leaders and celebrate the achievements and behaviours conducive to a vibrant industry. The awards recognise the excellence of the industry that is driving the tech economy and becoming such a strategic part of the UK and Ireland’s future.Guest speaker and prominent businessman Piers Linney took to the stage to announce the winners.

The Emerging Deep Tech award was won by ITM Power, a Sheffield-based company which manufactures integrated hydrogen energy solutions to enhance the utilisation of renewable energy.

ITM Power is an expert in hydrogen technologies with the overarching principle to take excess energy from the power network, convert it into hydrogen and use it in mobility and other industries, revolutionising how zero carbon energy is stored and used.

Our Head of Electrification, Dr Stephen Lambert, presented the award which was received by Alan Banks, CEO of TechWorks on behalf of ITM Power. He said “It was great to be at the awards to see ITM win the Emerging Deep Tech Award, Sponsored by McLaren Applied, for their work in producing green hydrogen and the important role this has in the mobility revolution.”
