The Long Stroke Sensor is designed to operate within a specified proximity (air gap) to the magnet and is typically used for knowing the position and/or rate of any linear motion with applications that include variable intake trumpets, long stroke suspension travel, and hydraulic/pneumatic actuators amongst others. 

The sensor can also be customised by stroke length, max magnet length and diameter as well as possible air gap range depending on your desired application.

The McLaren Applied Long Stroke Position sensor is a robust and cost-effective non-contact measurement device that uses Hall effect technology. The sensor provides accurate and repeatable data of linear position measurement in a compact lightweight package that is composed of two parts; a sensor housing and permanent magnet.

Designed to meet the most demanding needs, even in extreme operating environments, the Long Stroke Sensor output is designed to work with virtually any data logger and control system without the need for separate signal conditioning in either single or dual channel analogue or CAN outputs for full flexibility.
