Vodafone is Title Partner and 'Official Mobile Partner' of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team and has committed to a long-term agreement, commencing 1st January 2007.
The partnership demonstrates Vodafone’s ongoing commitment to the Formula 1 World Championship, a sport which continues to deliver massive global television coverage and which has significant appeal for Vodafone’s consumer and business customers around the world.
The title partnership including the team name ‘Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ and ‘Official Mobile Partner’ of the team gives Vodafone dominant Title Partnership branding on the new 2008 cars, drivers' and pit crew overalls and helmets. As we enter into the second season of this partnership, the associative rights provide unique opportunities that will continue to raise brand awareness through the team name and branding. The team partnership delivers a powerful integrated marketing platform through advertising, hospitality, mobile content, handset offers and promotions. Through innovative activation, this will encourage preference and loyalty amongst Vodafone's customers. There are clear synergies between the values of Vodafone and the McLaren Mercedes team which will result in a successful partnership.
