Exxon Mobil Corporation
Exxon Mobil Corporation, based in Irving, Texas, is the world's largest publicly traded energy company with operations in nearly 200 countries and territories. ExxonMobil is engaged in all aspects of the worldwide oil and natural gas business - exploration, production, refining, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of fuels, lubricants and chemicals- and has interests in electric power generation, as well as coal and minerals.
Mobil 1
After pioneering the development of fully synthetic oils for jet aircraft engines, Mobil began globally marketing Mobil 1, the world's first genuine fully synthetic automotive engine oil, in 1973. Mobil 1, designed to exceed industry performance specifications, immediately set new standards in lubrication technology and continues to do so today.
Mobil 1 also provides significant performance benefits resulting from its ability to dramatically reduce friction. Cold starting below -30°C and stability at over 180°C demonstrate the product's ability to operate over a wide temperature range. Mobil 1 has been continuously improved since its launch. Mobil 1 with SuperSyn, was first developed and tested in Formula 1 by McLaren. With the proprietary SuperSyn anti-wear system, Mobil 1 helps give cars and motorcycles exceptional protection against engine wear, under normal or even the most extreme circumstances. It contributes to cleaner running engines, improved fuel economy and enhanced engine life.
Mobil 1 development continues today through the company's work with McLaren, Mercedes-Benz and other leading technology companies. Motorsport, and Formula 1 in particular, provide some of the most stressful testing environments for Mobil 1 along with other leading technology lubricants and greases supplied from the Mobil lubricant range.
In addition to its world-class lubricants, ExxonMobil also provides the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team with unleaded race fuel. This fuel has been blended from selected components and additives to strictly comply with FIA regulations and to provide optimum power and performance in the Mercedes-Benz engine.
Today, ExxonMobil, together with technology partners such as McLaren and Mercedes-Benz, is dedicated not just to winning races, but also to creating fuels and lubricants with unbeatable performance and engine protection for the everyday world of motoring.
