McLaren were the proud hosts of an event to outline the local Woking & Sam Beare Hospices’ plans for ‘a new future for Hospice care in the heart of Surrey’. Hosted at McLaren Technology Centre on Thursday 17th April, McLaren Group's brand director, John Allert, opened the event and welcomed the visitors, before presentations were given by the Hospice team. The event was an opportunity to showcase to the assembled guests the plans for a state-of-the-art Hospice in Goldsworth Park, Woking, and extend the existing Sam Beare Hospice in neighbouring Weybridge to accommodate larger day care facilities and rooms for the expanding community teams.

Among the guests attending the event were the Rt Hon Philip Hammond, Foreign Secretary and Conservative Party Candidate for Runnymede and Weybridge, the Mayor and Mayoress of Guildford and Mayor of Elmbridge, who are all friends of Woking & Sam Beare Hospices. The event served as a launch pad for the plans for the new Hospice facilities, and to raise awareness of the progress of the development while also highlighting fundraising opportunities throughout the expansion process.
