McLAREN TECHNOLOGY CENTRE PLAYS HOST TO TWIN TOWN

The McLaren Technology Centre played host to a group of visitors from Woking’s twin town in Germany, Rastatt recently. The Mayor of the City of Rastatt, Wolfgang Hartweg was greeted at the facility by The Mayor of Woking Cllr Graham Cundy. Also in attendance were several representatives from Woking Borough Council and a selection of Councillors from Rastatt. Both parties enjoyed a tour of the McLaren Technology Centre which included the McLaren Racing race and test bays, where the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One cars are built and maintained throughout the year, and a visit to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren production line where the new super sports cars are individually built by hand. The Mayor of the City of Rastatt was in Woking for an official visit and the tour at the McLaren Technology Centre was a welcome to the guests as part of their visit. Coincidentally though there is a connection between Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and the town Rastatt, as this is where the Mercedes-Benz A-Class is built.
