The skills, experience and enthusiasm of the people within the McLaren Group is the engine that drives our development. Since moving into the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) and launching the McLaren Production Centre, the Group has undergone a period of considerable expansion.

Racing lies at the heart of McLaren’s activities and many staff from McLaren Racing have migrated to other disciplines within the Group, spreading the philosophy and working methodology honed by McLaren’s many years of competition at the pinnacle of motorsport. This forms the backbone of our operations, reinforced by a recruitment programme that strengthens our capabilities, adding skills from the outside world that compliment those for which the McLaren name is recognised.
The result is an unusually high degree of continuity between our different activities, ensuring that the skills at the disposal of McLaren Racing, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Applied Technologies are the best in the world.

The Group runs a highly successful graduate trainee programme focussed on technical disciplines while also offering a number of graduate-level positions every year. We offer both year-long and summer paid internships in our engineering and design departments as part of a scheme that sees us reach out to a number of major universities. We also run a programme for apprentices and trainees in collaboration with local colleges, and are enthusiastic participants in a STEM Ambassadors programme, taking the science and technology of McLaren directly into schools and colleges.
