McLaren: The Wins nominated for 2012 British Sports Book Awards
The recently published McLaren: The Wins has been nominated in the motorsport category of the prestigious 2012 British Sports Book Awards.
McLaren: The Wins was published last year as the second in a trilogy of deluxe coffee-table editions about the history of McLaren. It follows the successful publication in 2008 of McLaren: The Cars, the most authoritative and encyclopedic photographic archive of all McLaren’s road and racing machinery.
This latest award-nominated volume chronicles 639 victories in CanAm, Indy Cars, Formula 5000, at Le Mans and, most famously, in Formula 1 and is available from the McLaren eShop here.
The winners of the 10th Annual British Sports Book Awards will be announced at a prestigious event in London on the evening of May 21. The ceremony will also see British writer Nick Hornby presented with an award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Sports Writing' 20 years on from the publication of his ground-breaking novel Fever Pitch.
